Mr. Head received his law degree in 1976 from the University of Georgia School of Law, and was admitted to the Georgia Bar Association that same year. In 1990, Mr. Head was admitted to the South Carolina State Bar.

A founding regent of the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD), Mr. Head has served as the Regent of the College two times since its creation in 1995. This college serves as the premiere training organization for DUI lawyers throughout the country. Mr. Head was honored as the “National DUI Lawyer of the Year” by the NCDD in 2003.

Mr. Head is the author of six books about DUI, including 101 Ways to Avoid a Drunk Driving Conviction, The Georgia DUI Defense Trial Practice Manual, and The DUI Book. Mr. Head has been active in the education of other DUI defense lawyers throughout the nation.
